Thanks for clearing my doubts on all types of WordPress plugins, but I think using a lot of WordPress plugins will cause slow load of a blog which isn’t good.
I think we should use few but necessary WP plugins on our blog.

Yes you are right that using too many plugins can slow the site, but if they are all properly coded the effect will be minimal. I have a site that we manage that has 32 plugins running, the page load time is 2.85 seconds with the plugins activated and if we deactivate them all it drops to 2.45 seconds. The small difference in load time will likely be negligible compared to the benefits of using the various plugins. It’s important to test your plugins to make sure that one or two aren’t causing your site to have a dramatic slowdown.
